Deserted

Abercrombie and Fitch Baseball Tee, Urban Outfitters Lace Dress, White Converse

Here's another shirt + dress combo for my trip to Starr King Open Space. It was a beautiful day for an excursion and my outfit. I think I might have found the biggest cacti in San Francisco! Take a visit if you want a taste of wilderness in the bustling city.

Cortland Marketplace

Clockwise: Smoked Whitefish Sandwich, Mushroom and Kale Piroshki, Maple Bacon Waffle

I love the idea of a marketplace for restaurants especially ones like the Cortland Marketplace. It gathers various vendors into one place where you can purchase your meal, drink, and dessert. I suppose the idea is similar to the gathering of food trucks, but I'd prefer this marketplace any time. I liked that there was indoor seating compared to eating outside where your hair keeps getting into your food and it's freezing. I also liked how the place looked very simple and cute, plus the workers were so helpful and nice.

Our fist stop was Paulie's Pickling, where we purchase the whitefish sandwich. Initially, I was kind of nervous since I really didn't know what whitefish was. After my first bite, I was really happy I had picked it. I liked the smoked flavor in the fish and everything else about the sandwich.

Second was Anda Piroshki. I love piroshkis and this one was perfect. That is all.

For dessert, we had a maple bacon waffle from Suite Foods. We had the option of buying one that was already made or a fresh one. We opted for a fresh one since we weren't in a rush. I'd say this is for any lover of sweets, bacon, or carbs. Overall, this visit to the Cortland Marketplace was positive in every area and I can't wait to go back!

Dress to Skirt

Patagonia Coat, Thrifted Lace Top, Urban Outfitters Denim Dress, Steve Madden Cinch Boots, Juicy Couture Purse

I've never really thought about pairing tops with dresses to make it appear like a skirt, but lately I've been exploring more into this. I love the look of the denim circle skirt but I don't own one. When I stumbled across this denim dress, I thought it'd be perfect as a skirt. What's better is that I can also wear it just as a dress on warmer days. Now I feel like I don't even need to look for that circle denim skirt anymore, I already own it!

Lands End

Giants Snapback, Urban Outfitters Jacket, Cheap Monday Second Skin Jeans, BDG Boots, Juicy Couture Purse

A trip to Lands End is a nice way to ease into summer. Re-exploring always has a certain feel to it. Nostalgic, I'd say. It feels as if time has flown by this path semester when I see Sutro Baths and the Labyrinth again.

Oversized white tees and high rise skinnies are my go to. They are comfortable enough for the walk and at the same time look put together. I threw on a military jacket for warmth and some added color. Oh, and I wore my boyfriend's giants cap because my ears are over sensitive to wind. Happy summer!

China Beach

American Eagle Top, Urban Outfitters Shorts

There are always times for firsts, so why not pick a nice sunny day to visit the small but gorgeous China Beach? I did have a final after this, but this was the perfect stress reliever, not to mention it was quite entertaining watching firemen practice saving people. But at last, finals are over and the Netflix marathon has begun.

One of the movies I watched was Frances Ha and I can't believe I haven't watched it before. I just loved it. It had the perfect amount of awkwardness which was hilarious. I'd definitely recommend it, but I wouldn't say it's for everyone.

Corona Heights

And the warm weather returns. About two weeks ago when it was scorching hot, I hiked up Corona Heights Park since I had a few hours between my classes. I've wanted to visit after the photos I'd seen, and it definitely does not disappoint. I must say though, the hike was much more challenging than I had expected (I didn't know there were stairs that go up as well). I ended up spending my early afternoon on a large rock with an amazing view of the city.

As I mentioned in my previous post, I am still in the midst of finals. The warm weather yesterday and today is a tease since I'm stuck at home "studying." Anyways, two more finals tomorrow and summer is here!

Falling for Spring

Free People Cardigan, BCBG Denim Shirt, American Eagle Jeans, Steve Madden Booties, Juicy Couture Purse

You can always count on finding fall days in spring, or practically any season, when you're in the Bay Area. After a few hot days, its back to gusting wind. To stay warm, I chose my denim shirt and cozy cardigan. Straying away from making the outfit look too much like a fall one, I paired my top with white pants and cutout boots.

On a different note, finals are coming up, which means studying and papers. But on the bright side, in exactly a week, I'll be sleeping in and doing whatever it is I want. My plans? Netflix, travel, work, and catching up with friends. But going back to the fact that I haven't even taken one final yet, it's back to shuffling through lecture notes after this post. Happy studying to those who are also taking finals soon!

Braided

H&M Necklace, Calyps St. Barth Top, Joe's Jeans Shorts, Dolce Vita Sandals

Blue skies with not a cloud in sight and temperatures in the mid-eighties. Extreme heat for SF natives, but nonetheless I thoroughly enjoyed it. I love how San Francisco can be so crazy hot one day and before you know it, it's back to fog so thick you can hardly see 20 feet in front of you. It really makes me cherish the warm days, which I did in a braid, tank, shorts, sandals, and ice cream in hand.

I love braids especially when it scorching hot. They're cute plus all your hair is out of your face, something I can truly appreciate on days like the past few. I saw a photo on Spell Design's blog post here and took a whack at it. Let's just say I've been in a braid ever since.
